The Body Farm, as it is referred to, which is a department of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, is where they study decomposing human bodies.
There are about 50 bodies scattered through the woods of this "farm" that the anthropologists study during different stages of decomposition. This project is to help with forensic sciences and crime investigations.
Most of the bodies are donated. So if you have decided to donate your body to science...this may be where you end up.

I'm actually pretty calous about things like this - typically - but when I saw a documentary on the Body Farm on TV... I had issues. I know these things must be studied, and I know the data collected from these studies help in solving crimes, and give valuable information to the medical community as well. But good Gods! When I signed the papers to donate myself - the Body Farm was NOT what I had in mind. LOL I was thinking a nice exam table in a college, where Med students took a look... not being tossed out the back door on the ground for... worms. That's just wrong. LOL ~Ang
